The "Shimonita Negi Festival 2026" will be held, allowing visitors to fully savor the charm of authentic "Shimonita negi" (green onions) that can only be enjoyed during winter. At the section where local farmers directly sell their prized Shimonita green onions and fresh agricultural products, you can taste seasonal delicacies. Furthermore, "Special Shimonita Negima Skewers" that you can grill yourself will make an appearance, enlivening the festival. Various other events are scheduled, with details to be announced sequentially. Direct-sales markets for agricultural produce including Shimonita green onions will attract visitors at the venue. The event will be held rain or shine, but may be canceled in case of severe weather. Booth vendors are being recruited to join in enlivening the event together. Town shops, sponsors, partner companies, and food trucks can set up stalls. Access to the venue is about a 60-minute ride from JR Takasaki Station on the Joshin Electric Railway, followed by a 3-minute walk from Shimonita Station. By car, it is about 10 minutes from the Joshin-etsu Expressway Shimonita IC; however, since parking is expected to be very crowded on the day, using public transportation or carpooling is recommended.
