Minakami Mirai Marche 2026 - Ruin Revitalization Stories 2026 -, held on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026 in the Minakami Onsen area of Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture, is an event held as part of a project to revitalize abandoned buildings and create new value. Various attractive spots emerging in the hot spring town collaborate to unfold as a cluster of 10 small markets connecting 'station to station.' Visitors can enjoy various ways of touring from JR Minakami Station to Roadside Station Mizu-Kiko-Kan (Michi-no-Eki Mizu-Kiko-Kan), savoring Minakami's food and drinks, experiences, and craftsmanship while exploring spaces with diverse facets of the hot spring town. The event is held in two parts, with Part 1 running from 11:00 to 15:30 and Part 2 from 15:30 to 20:00. Unique vendors gather across multiple venues, including the Former Sokai Hotel / Around Yubarabashi Bridge, Juraku Former Laundry Factory, Former Higaki Dormitory, Former Ichiyotei Main Entrance, next to matatabi, in front of aratashi, and MIDORI SOW. As seen from the previous year's market, the charm of utilizing historic buildings is evident in locations such as the Former Ichiyotei—the centerpiece of the ruin revitalization project—and the Former Higaki Dormitory, which serves as a venue again this year. Another highlight is the refined evening atmosphere created by special lighting.
