About this event

The "31st Itakura Welfare Festival" held at the Itakura Town General Welfare Center for the Elderly is an event where local residents gather and deepen mutual interaction. On the day, sign language performances and stage presentations of traditional performing arts will be held to entertain the audience. There will also be exhibitions of patrol cars and police motorcycles popular with children, as well as a free craft workshop corner. As one of the event highlights, a fun lottery limited to the first 200 people will be held after the performing arts entertainment concludes. Furthermore, a children's plaza and sign language experience booths will be set up, providing visitors with opportunities to casually experience and learn about welfare. Many food stalls will also be set up, making it a day enveloped in a lively atmosphere. Emergency meal service (tonjiru pork miso soup and rice), popcorn, and yoyo balloon fishing will be provided free of charge. A food drive, consultations and prevention PR regarding dementia, and health checks will also be conducted, helping to deepen understanding of welfare.
