Shiki Theatre Company Musical "A Chorus Line"

About this event

Set in Broadway, the capital of show business, the Shiki Theatre Company musical "A Chorus Line" depicts 17 dancers facing the final audition for chorus dancers in a new musical. In response to director Zach's prompt to "talk about what is not on your resume," they begin to candidly share their lives—complicated family backgrounds, setbacks, insecurities, and passions for their dreams. Alongside overwhelming dance performances, the earnest depiction of each individual living as the "lead" of their own life evokes deep empathy and emotion in the audience. Since its premiere in 1975, this work remains a timeless masterpiece loved across generations.
