The 15th World Character Summit in Hanyu

About this event

The "15th World Character Summit in Hanyu" will be held in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture, on Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22, 2026. The venues are Hanyu City Hall and Hanyu Peace Park. Local mascot characters from all across Japan and overseas will participate, with more than 200 characters expected to gather in total. At the event, you can enjoy stage performances by characters, photo opportunities, and interactions with characters freely walking around the grounds. In addition, food booths and merchandise booths featuring local specialties from various regions will be abundant, making it an unmissable event for families and mascot fans. Admission is free. Last year's attendance reached approximately 65,000 people, and since a large turnout is expected this year as well, the use of public transportation is recommended. Detailed schedules and participating characters will be announced sequentially.
