Held at Okegawa City Benibana Furusato-kan on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 9:00 to 17:00, and Sunday, August 23 from 9:00 to 15:00, 'The 19th Okegawa Jumbo Watermelon Contest' is an event competing over the size of gigantic watermelons. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 22 from 11:00. Last year's winning watermelon set a record of 67.43 kg, and even larger jumbo watermelons are anticipated to appear in this year's contest. Visitors can see their impressive size up close.
