About this event
A film adaptation of Minato Shukawa's novel 'Hana Manma', which won the 133rd Naoki Prize in 2005, marking the first co-starring performance of Ryohei Suzuki and Kasumi Arimura. It is the story of a brother and sister living in an Osaka downtown neighborhood; the older brother, Toshiki, feels relieved when his younger sister Fumiko's marriage is decided, but the story unfolds as a secret from Fumiko's past resurfaces. The film is directed by Tetsu Maeda, with a screenplay by Keita Kita, music by Yoshihiro Ike, and distributed by Toei. The running time is 118 minutes. At this event, there will be two screenings: a morning session and an afternoon session. The morning session opens at 10:00 with the screening starting at 10:30, and the afternoon session opens at 14:00 with the screening starting at 14:30. Tickets are unreserved seating at 500 yen in advance and 800 yen at the door (tax included). Fiscal year 2026 Friends Members can exchange one voucher per member, but this will end once capacity is reached. Children aged 3 and under are not admitted. Tickets are required for ages 4 and older.
