The 31st Yashio Citizens Festival

Beloved as one of Yashio City's largest events, the Yashio Citizens Festival returns after a 2-year hiatus. It is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Yashio City Hall and the surrounding area. Featuring stage performances, various attractions, and booths by local organizations, it draws large crowds every year. This year, the venues will include the City Hall, temporary parking lots, Yashio Mecenat, Yashio Mecenat parking lot, and the Yashio Junior High School grounds. Keyaki-dori Avenue, which was previously part of the festival grounds, will not be used. Additionally, the annual Wanpaku Sumo Tournament is scheduled to take place the day before the festival, on Saturday, October 24. While last year's event was cancelled due to a road cave-in incident, this year marks the revival that many citizens have eagerly awaited.
