About this event

The Kamisato Town Disaster Prevention Festival 2026 will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Aeon Town Kamisato. The event will showcase dynamic drills including obstacle removal drills by the volunteer fire corps, ladder truck maneuvers by the Ladder Team of the Chuo Fire Station (Kodama County and Cities Wide-Area Fire Headquarters), and reconnaissance flight training by the Saitama Disaster Prevention Aviation Unit. In addition, there will be exhibits of various vehicles such as fire engines, ladder trucks, disaster response vehicles, and armored vehicles, as well as hands-on corners for both adults and children, including photo ops in kids' firefighter uniforms, water discharge experiences, fire extinguisher trials, a smoke maze experience, and mini fire truck rides. Furthermore, emergency food distribution (Hyzex rice and retort curry), free shaved ice and balloons, VR experiences, and disaster message board trials will be available. There will also be exhibits by local voluntary disaster prevention organizations and a stamp rally where completing three activities earns a wonderful prize. It will be an enjoyable annual opportunity to learn about disaster prevention.
