The 2nd "Machi x Teku" is a walking tour hosted across Miyashiro Town and Sugito Town, offering an encounter with the true everyday charm of both communities. It is held as part of the "Motto Zutto Project" promoted by Tobu Railway and Saitama Prefecture. With free participation, this event gathers participants at Tobu-dobutsu-koen Station to visit diverse spots across Miyashiro and Sugito. In Miyashiro Town, you can experience architectural masterpieces created by prominent masters, sights where unique art blends into daily life such as Kasahara Elementary School, interactions with senior local residents at Community Center Shinshukan, and introductions to public administrative services. In addition, at the tranquil rural park "Atarashii Mura", an agricultural-themed tourism facility, visitors can enjoy a local vegetable market and a cafe. In Sugito Town, participants will explore distinctive spots like streetscapes harmonizing the vestiges of an old post town with rich nature, as well as "Hitotsu Yane no Shita" inside "Cocoti Sugito", a renovated traditional folk house base. Participants will also receive a complimentary admission ticket to Tobu Zoo to enjoy their afternoon. This tour provides a valuable opportunity to experience real-life local living by strolling through towns, talking with residents, and feeling their warmth.
