The 'Matsubushi Citizens Festival 2026' is an event aimed at enriching the resident-led local community and building a town where people can live safely and securely. Held every October as one of Matsubushi Town's largest events to deepen local connections, various attractions including stage events and stalls are planned for visitors to enjoy. In recent years, operating costs have increased due to soaring prices and rising personnel expenses, and government crowdfunding utilizing the hometown tax donation (furusato nozei) system is being carried out to sustain the event and maintain its quality. Through this, support is being sought to continue the town festival and protect this place of regional vibrancy and interaction. For the event, recruitment of performing groups for the stage and stall vendors is also being conducted, encouraging participation by local residents.
