About this event
The "Saikatsu Human Rights Festival 2026 in Matsubushi" will be held in Matsubushi Town, Saitama Prefecture. This festival is designed to foster community development where human rights are respected without discrimination or prejudice within the Saikatsu area, as well as to promote interregional exchange. On the day of the event, the festival opens at 10:00 AM with a brass band performance by Saitama Prefectural Matsubushi High School, followed by the opening ceremony and an awards ceremony for good deeds, essays, and slogans. In the afternoon session, a lecture by Mr. Mizuki Shikimachi is scheduled starting at 1:00 PM, concluding at 2:30 PM. Admission is free, and no advance registration is required. Sign language interpreters and summary scribes are provided at the venue, ensuring thoughtful accessibility so anyone can participate with peace of mind. The event is organized by the Saikatsu Area Human Rights Policy Promotion Council, Matsubushi Town, and the Matsubushi Town Board of Education, and co-organized by the Matsubushi Town Youth Sound Development Council. This initiative is carried out as a project commissioned by Saitama Prefecture.
