About this event

"Ito-kake" (string art) is a form of mathematical art where colorful strings are wound around nails following specific rules. Enjoy the geometric patterns created by weaving strings in various regular patterns. Experience a world of "Science x Art" presented by the museum, perfect for the artistic autumn season. Many works created by elementary school students will also be exhibited. Supervised by the String Art Design Laboratory, this special exhibition introduces the beauty and fun of string art as science, making string art, arithmetic, and mathematics all the more fascinating the more you learn.
