Japanese name:鴨川地区合同祭

📅 Sat, Sep 12, 2026 - Sun, Sep 13, 2026

📍 Kamogawa, Chiba

About this event

Jointly organized by 7 shrines centered around the Kamogawa urban area, this is the largest festival in the Kamogawa district. Three dashi floats, four yatai floats, seven mikoshi portable shrines, and the city-designated intangible folk cultural property 'katsugi yatai' (shoulder-borne floats) will parade lively through the city streets. The festival will be held over 2 days, and around 20 street stalls will be set up around Kamogawa Seaside Base, making the festival even livelier. In particular, the sight of the dashi, yatai, mikoshi, and katsugi yatai gathering all together for a taiko competition and the collective raising of the mikoshi is spectacular. In the festival finale, the togiyo processional parade will proceed toward Awa-Kamogawa Station, presenting an energetic scene of the entire community united.
