Held in Kimitsu City, the "Kimitsu Edamame Harvest Festival" is an event where you can experience harvesting edamame, an autumn delicacy. Through this complete harvesting experience that can only be had in the fields, you can fully engage all five senses with the feel of the soil, the response of pulling up the plants, and the weight of the ripe edamame pods. You can take home as much edamame as can be tied to a length of straw rope. The participation fee is 2,000 yen per straw rope. Advance reservations are scheduled to open on September 1, 2026, but same-day participation is also possible.
