Held in the Kameyama district of Kimitsu City, Chiba Prefecture, the 'Kameyama Autumn Festival' is an annual autumn event where you can enjoy various activities during the fall foliage season. You can savor the vivid autumn colors at Lake Kameyama, which is said to have the latest-turning foliage in the Kanto region, as well as hiking trails such as the Inokawa Valley and Shichirigawa Valley. During the event period, autumn foliage cycling and Lake Kameyama autumn foliage sightseeing cruises are popular, centered around the parking lot of Kameyama Yasuragikan. Cruising around the lakeside foliage on electric-assist bicycles or being guided by sightseeing boats to foliage spots invisible from land are exceptional experiences. In addition, the Autumn Kameyama Free Hike offers multiple courses designed for anyone from beginners to confident walkers, allowing participants to fully enjoy nature. Furthermore, a mountain bounty local product store featuring regional specialties and a flea market will also be held, offering fun opportunities to discover local flavors and souvenirs. A photo contest, musical and theatrical performances by local high school students, and Japanese wadaiko drum shows are also staged, welcoming visitors with a diverse array of entertainment. It is an event where you can feel the deepening of autumn while gazing at the fall colors around Kameyama Dam.
