"Chiba Aqualine Marathon 2026" is a marathon event set against the backdrop of Chiba's countryside and the scenery surrounded by the grand blue sky and sea of Umihotaru. Scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Wheelchair Half Marathon will start at 9:40 AM, followed by the Marathon and Half Marathon at 9:45 AM. The Marathon event is 42.195 kilometers with a capacity of 12,000 participants and an entry fee of 16,500 yen. The Half Marathon and Wheelchair Half Marathon are 21.0975 kilometers, with a combined capacity of 5,000 participants (around 10 for the Wheelchair Half) and an entry fee of 13,500 yen. There are some course changes, and details can be confirmed in the event guidelines. Applications are accepted online on a first-come, first-served basis via Sports Entry. Registration opened on Sunday, March 15 at 8:00 PM for the Chiba Prefectural Resident Priority slot, and on Sunday, March 22 at 8:00 PM for the General slot. New entry categories including the "Student Support Slot," "Women's Support Slot," and "Late Entry Slot" have also been established to make the event accessible to even more participants. An inter-municipal competition will also be held, with representative runners for Kisarazu City already selected.
