Hokkaido Outdoor Festival 2026 in Rusutsu Run & Bivouac

About this event

Preparation and experience are necessary to challenge navigation sports that test overall mountain capability, such as 'OMM' (https://theomm.jp/pages/omm-japan-2026). The Hokkaido Orienteering Association provides that opportunity through 'RunBiva'. In two-person teams carrying all their own equipment, participants complete a 5-hour rogaining event, an unsupported bivouac at a campsite, and a 20km mountain marathon. This race allows first-time 'OMM' participants, or those considering participating in next year's 'OMM' who feel uneasy about running with heavy gear or unsupported camping, to gain practical hands-on experience.
