2026 SAKAE Riverside Festival: Connecting Smiles, Waterside Festival

Held in Sakae Town, Chiba Prefecture, the "SAKAE Riverside Festival" is an event where visitors can fully enjoy the charms of the waterside at a special venue on the Tone River dry riverbed. Starting with an opening performance by Shimosa Sakae Daiko drumming, a diverse program will unfold, including dance and musical performances by local elementary and junior high schools, a PR booth for the Sora-Mizu-Sora Art Festival, a BAYFM78 event stage, an FDS dance performance (guest showtime by "GOW"), and a mimicry stage by Kikuko Hariya. In addition, visitors can enjoy exhibits of river patrol boats and a special Doramame black soybean booth. At night, about 2,000 fireworks will color the night sky to conclude the event. This fireworks display has been carried out for many years through the cooperation of local residents, and support through sponsorship donations and crowdfunding is also being called for to ensure its sustainable continuation.
