Tonosho Town History Symposium: The To Clan and Buddhism in the Kamakura Period

The "Tonosho Town History Symposium: The To Clan and Buddhism in the Kamakura Period" will be held in the Main Hall of the Tonosho Town Public Hall. This symposium will explore historical perspectives focusing on the relationship between the To clan and Buddhism during the Kamakura period. In the keynote speech, Hideo Ueno, former Chairman of the Chiba Prefectural Foundation for Education Promotion, will deliver a lecture entitled "Faith and Lore of the Nembutsu Practitioner To Taneyori." Additionally, Horyu Sakai, researcher at the Chiba City Museum of History, will report on "Excerpts from the Sengakushu and Faith of the Chiba Clan." Following that, a cross-talk session on the theme of "The To Clan and Buddhism in the Kamakura Period" will take place featuring Mr. Ueno, Mr. Sakai, and moderator Shinji Toyama, researcher at the Chiba City Museum of History.
