In Tonosho Town, the 'Tonosho Fureai Festival' is held every year on November 3. As part of it, a flea market is also held. It promotes recycling by providing opportunities to reuse unwanted household clothing, books, small items, and more. The venue is the Town Civic Gymnasium (inside the Fureai Festival venue at 4713-35 Sasagawa-i, Tonosho Town), held from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Vendor items are limited to unwanted household daily necessities; food, beverages, and commercial retail merchandise are not permitted. The booth fee is 1,000 yen per section (4m x 3m), which will be utilized as a donation to the Tonosho Town Social Welfare Council. Vendor applications begin on Thursday, September 24, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at 8:30 AM for town residents, and on Thursday, October 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at 8:30 AM for non-residents, with the application deadline on Thursday, October 8, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at 12:00 noon. The recruitment quota is up to the first 16 groups on a first-come, first-served basis.
