Lifesaving Competition

About this event

The Lifesaving Competition held at Onjuku Central Beach is an important event carrying on the spirit of lifesaving. This event hosts the North Kanto Preliminary of the Japan Lifesaving Championships, the All Japan Intercollegiate Lifesaving Championships, and the All Japan Youth Lifesaving Championships. These competitions bring together many athletes aiming to improve and spread lifesaving sports techniques. Onjuku Town has a history of rescuing Don Rodrigo and his crew over 400 years ago, and that spirit of saving human lives continues today. Set against the beautiful Onjuku Central Beach, heated battles among athletes will unfold.
