In fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8), Meguro City plans to hold the Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Drill "Meguro Disaster Prevention Festa" at the municipal Dai-ichi Junior High School on Sunday, November 1. This event is conducted as a comprehensive disaster prevention drill aimed at raising local disaster preparedness awareness and leading to practical preparations. Details will be announced in the future. In addition, at Mokenzan Yutenji Temple located in Naka-Meguro, Meguro City, the "Fire Prevention & Disaster Prevention Fair 2026 in Yutenji" will be held on Wednesday (National Holiday), April 29, 2026. At this fair, various disaster and fire prevention experiences and exhibits will be offered, including musical and visual performances by the Tokyo Fire Department Music Band & Color Guards, traditional firefighting performances by the Edo Firemanship Preservation Association, simulated disaster experiences via a VR disaster simulation vehicle, initial fire extinguishing experiences, mini-car ride experiences, and displays of firefighting vehicles. Admission is free, and no advance registration is required. As there is no parking available at the venue, the use of public transportation is recommended.
