About this event

"UNDER THE Tabata Expo 2026" is an event aimed at rediscovering and enjoying the charm of the neighborhood across various venues in Tabata. In addition to the revival of the "Higashi-Tabata Festa," which once energized the area, after about 25 years, the "Tabata Open Day" will feature tours, hands-on experiences, and food tastings at local shops, companies, offices, factories, and facilities. Furthermore, various engaging events will take place throughout the town, including a small children's market held at the Tabata Fureai Bridge near the Tabata Station North Exit. This event aims to dispel the common image of Tabata as having "nothing there," encouraging residents themselves to stroll through town and discover the "somehow wonderful" aspects of the neighborhood through new encounters with people, shops, companies, and places. The executive committee aims to create a simply enjoyable event akin to a grown-up cultural festival that serves as a gateway to connecting with the local community.
