Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum Centennial Exhibition: Reading the World from Within

About this event

This special exhibition is held under the theme of "Dialogue with the World" to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. Through the works of five artists with diverse eras and creative backgrounds—Alberto Giacometti, Bikky Sunazawa, Shuntaro Tanikawa, Elena Tutatchikova, and Momo Yamanishi—the exhibition explores multiple ways of "reading": "reading through light," "reading through time," "reading through words," "reading from nature," and "imagining with the whole body." Spanning diverse genres including sculpture, photography, words, and painting, these works offer visitors fresh perspectives and deep inspiration. In particular, the display of new works by Elena Tutatchikova and Momo Yamanishi is a major highlight. This exhibition aims to serve as an opportunity for every visitor to discover their own inner key and open new doorways to the world.
