Place Festa 2026: Musashino Place 15th Anniversary Celebration

About this event

Held to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the opening of Musashino Place, "Place Festa 2026" carries the theme "Enjoy, Meet, Share," bringing together Musashino Place's four core functions—library, lifelong learning support, civic activity support, and youth activity support—to present a diverse lineup of events. During the period, a drawing workshop by popular picture book author Kanayo Sugiyama, a lecture titled "Books, Myself, and Musashino" by Naoki Matayoshi of the comedy duo Peace, and "All Night Place," a special nighttime opening event celebrating the 15th anniversary, will be held. At All Night Place, visitors can enjoy unique programs including live jazz, ghost stories, and disaster food preparation using I-Wrap bags. Additionally, various programs are scheduled, such as a craft workshop for elementary school students to build giant structures out of newspaper, a morning tour exploring behind-the-scenes facility areas together with the library director, "Shikatsu Ennichi 2026" featuring local citizen activity groups, and youth events offering drone piloting experiences. The interior will be decorated with themes inspired by seasonal autumn fruits, alongside a rally event to find the official character "Mameisu." With disaster-preparedness displays, limited-time "Mameisu Bread" sold in collaboration with local bakeries, and special cafe menu items, the event is packed with attractions that make simply visiting enjoyable.
