Library Festival 2026

About this event

The 'Library Festival 2026' hosted by Akishima City Library will be held on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Akishimaensis International Exchange, Education, and Culture Building / School Building. A variety of programs enjoyable for a wide range of ages, from toddlers to the general public, will be prepared for this festival. A stamp rally touring the City Library and the Local History Museum will offer prizes for the first 250 participants each day. In addition, visitors can enjoy hands-on workshops such as making ornaments from popsicle sticks, eco-crafts using plastic bottle caps, and making shrink-plastic bookmarks. Furthermore, the Library Festival Special Storytelling Session will feature fun storytelling for toddlers and preschoolers, as well as an adult storytelling session by the Akishima Storytelling Group 'Mogumogu.' Gallery talks will also be held in the Local History Museum, allowing visitors to connect with local history and culture.
