About this event

This walking event exploring Akishima City is held as part of JR East's "From the Station Hiking". Set in "Water Town Akishima," a place blessed with abundant water, participants can enjoy an approximately 5km course visiting ginkgo tree avenues, Tsutsujigaoka Park, The Furniture Museum, and Akishimaensis, all while searching for the unique "Akishima Whale". During the period, presenting the map unlocks attractive special benefits at various facilities and stores, such as free admission to The Furniture Museum, perks at Niconico Honpo Kujirayaki, and discounts at Book Cafe Mulberry Field. In addition, on Sundays and public holidays during the event, special guided walks led by "Akishima Town Walk Navigators" who know the town intimately will be conducted, allowing a deeper experience of Akishima's charm. At the Akishima Tourist Information Center, a gift campaign will also be held for the first 300 visitors who answer a short questionnaire to receive an aluminum bottle can of "Akishima no Mizu" (Akishima Water).
