8th Miyake Village Mini Island Life Experience Program

About this event

Held on Miyakejima in the Izu Islands, approximately 180 km from central Tokyo, the '8th Miyake Village Mini Island Life Experience Program' is a 2-day island living experience tour. Surrounded by magnificent volcanic scenery and the beautiful sea, participants can experience relocating to Miyake Village over the weekend. While touring the island, you can experience the 'reality of daily life'—including housing, jobs, and shopping environments—that cannot be seen through regular sightseeing. It is recommended for those interested in island living or the Local Vitalization Cooperator program, those considering relocation who want to see the local area first, and those who want to learn about life on Tokyo's remote islands. Unlike sightseeing tours, this project is a relocation trial tour, and in principle there is no free time. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their interactions with local residents while touring the island. Photos of the activities will be taken for records and may be used in promotional media such as social media and websites.
