"Yokohama Oktoberfest 2026" will be held for 17 days from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza. Held since 2003 as the Japanese edition of "Oktoberfest," the world's largest beer festival originating in Munich, Germany in 1810, it celebrates its 23rd edition this year. As an event where visitors can enjoy authentic German ambiance, it has become an autumn tradition in Yokohama. This year, 5 of the 6 major German government-certified breweries are participating, and with over 20 vendor stalls, guests can enjoy a wide lineup ranging from German beers to local craft beers, including first-time imports to Japan and special venue-exclusive beers. Of particular note is the debut of a "Tasting Flight Set" that comes with an original beer mug. Guests can choose 3 favorites—such as fruity white beers, lager styles, or beer cocktails—served in an original beer mug. The venue is divided into 4 areas tailored to different occasions: a large tent with live German band music, a beer garden booth ideal for toasting with friends, a Hofbrau booth for casual enjoyment, and a lawn area welcoming families and dog owners. In addition, "Yokohama Citizen Thanks Day" will be held for residents of Yokohama City, offering free admission benefits. It is an event to fully enjoy autumn in Yokohama, welcoming beer lovers, non-drinkers, and families alike.
