About this event

To experience the fun of sports and provide an impetus for ongoing athletic participation, beginner-friendly hands-on sports classes for parents and children together will be held. You can try 11 sports: rugby, soccer, baseball, track and field, basketball, cheer dance, table tennis, gymnastics, boccia, breakdancing, and volleyball. The pre-registration sports classes last approximately 60 minutes each and will be held 4 times. Soccer classes are only for Groups A and B; baseball pre-registration is only for Groups A through C, with open participation available after Group C finishes. Participant capacities recruited are: soccer for 50 parent-child pairs (100 people) x 2 sessions, basketball for 25 parent-child pairs (50 people) x 4 sessions, baseball for 40 parent-child pairs (80 people) x 3 sessions, cheer dance for 25 parent-child pairs (50 people) x 4 sessions, rugby for 30 parent-child pairs (60 people) x 4 sessions, track and field for 50 parent-child pairs (100 people) x 4 sessions, table tennis for 20 parent-child pairs (40 people) x 4 sessions, gymnastics for 20 parent-child pairs (40 people) x 4 sessions, boccia for 25 parent-child pairs (50 people) x 4 sessions, volleyball for 25 parent-child pairs (50 people) x 4 sessions, and breakdancing for 25 parent-child pairs (50 people) x 4 sessions. Each trial sport requires advance application, and same-day registration is not accepted. The application period runs from Tuesday, August 18 to Tuesday, September 15, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at 23:59. In addition, numerous hands-on sports booths and workshops not requiring advance registration are prepared, including American football & basketball pass-and-shoot challenges, challenge rugby, baseball experience corner, Double Dutch, naginata, sports karate, boccia, wheelchair racer experience, Molkky, Pegarball, goalball, and more. The experiential workshops will feature original poster making, esports trials, and a traffic safety booth. A nursery room for children aged 2 to pre-school is available exclusively for participants of the hands-on sports classes.
