About this event
In Manazuru Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, an event will be held where participants listen to talks from experts in buildings that embody the town planning ordinance "Standards of Beauty," and stroll through narrow "Sedomichi" alleys inaccessible to cars. Composed of 8 principles and 69 keywords, this ordinance guides participants as they touch upon nostalgic townscapes, the atmosphere of a quiet fishing port, people's daily lives, and rich nature, with the aim of finding their own "70th keyword." During the event, participants can savor a specially ordered "Manazuru Bento" provided by the Manazuru Town Tourism Association to relish local ingredients. Additionally, time is set aside at "Kurashikaru Manazuru" to enjoy Manazuru sweets and snacks. This journey, undertaken in comfortable walking shoes and clothing, will serve as a precious opportunity to discover Manazuru's hidden charms and experience everyday life and nature's abundance with all five senses. Open to elementary school students and older.
