32nd Nagaoka Institute of Design University Festival

This year's Nagaoka Institute of Design University Festival will be held over two days on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, under the theme "Space Travel Flight N-26." On campus grounds, students' creative works will be exhibited alongside food stalls, student musical performances, and various other programs. Comedian ZAZY, known for his pink costume and unique flip-card comedy routines, will appear as a special guest with a stage show in the Grand Lecture Hall on Saturday, September 12. The live stage will showcase a variety of performances, including band shows, Japanese wadaiko drums, brass bands, and dance. The finale "Zokeidai Fireworks" is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, for visitors to enjoy with loved ones. A fashion show will present student-designed pieces, with online voting open to support the show. In addition, there will be food stalls serving meals and sweets prepared by students, as well as a bustling market selling handmade original crafts and vintage clothing. Visitors can also join workshops to experience the joy of craftsmanship with students, or view exhibition areas showcasing course projects and independent works. Highlighting community connections through art and design, the festival will feature an exhibition of junior high school cultural and artistic projects, an art cafe hosted by the Friends of the Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, and a distinctive exhibition by volunteer academic support staff.
