2026 Kashiwazaki Collection Village Autumn Exhibition & Workshop

The 2026 Autumn Exhibition will be held at Chigo-no-Ie, Kurofunekan, and Doitsu-an Ai Folk Crafts Museum, proud institutions of Kashiwazaki, the town of collections. At Chigo-no-Ie, a watercolor exhibition titled 'Niigata's Four Seasons and Children' by Niigata-based illustrator Junko Kurihara will be held, depicting peaceful Showa-era landscapes and lively children. Postcards and reproduction prints will also be available for purchase. At Kurofunekan, 'Yokohama Souvenir: A Yokohama Guidebook' by Sadahide Utagawa, a leading artist of Yokohama-e, will be exhibited, showcasing works that introduced the townscape of Yokohama at the time of its port opening as a guidebook. At Doitsu-an Ai Folk Crafts Museum, an exhibition showcasing the beauty of 'Liangbu', indigo-dyed cloth passed down among Chinese ethnic minorities, will take place, featuring works by local artist Kaori Yamada of the Liangbu Research Institute. In addition, a 'Liangbu Flower Shimenawa Decoration' workshop will be held at the Ai Folk Crafts Museum. During the event period, the 'Kashiwazaki Collection Village Flea Market' will also be held, featuring antique goods and various stalls.
