About this event
A guided trekking tour held in the Komatsubara Wetlands, which spread across a plateau at an elevation of 1,350 m to 1,600 m in the northwestern part of Mount Naeba. Participants will walk a vigorous 5-hour round-trip course while enjoying primeval beech forests. Accompanied by a nature observation instructor, visitors can appreciate seasonal flora and, in autumn, take in fantastical scenery featuring autumn foliage of Enkianthus campanulatus (red veined enkianthus) and beautiful moor ponds. As some sections of the wooden boardwalk in the wetland are damaged, bringing trekking poles is recommended. Participants must prepare drinks, lunch, rubber boots or waterproof trekking shoes, a hat, cold-weather clothing, and rainwear. This tour is recommended for anyone wishing to immerse themselves in natural beauty.
