Marine Sports Festival 2026 in Nou Beach

About this event

Based on the concept "Let's all play, learn, and enjoy at the sea!", this event offers an opportunity to discover the charm of the ocean and learn water safety through fun water activities. Students from marine high schools nationwide, including Niigata Prefectural Marine High School, will participate in operational support to provide local elementary/junior high school students and Itoigawa residents with marine sports experiences. In the water activity trials, boat cruising, jet skiing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and Jomon-style canoe experiences can be enjoyed free of charge (free participation, same-day registration). On land, programs include a 5 Rules of Water Safety stamp rally and workshops utilizing driftwood and marine debris. The event aims to raise awareness of marine etiquette, safety, and environmental conservation, promote Itoigawa's attractions, and revitalize the surrounding community.
