Earth Celebration 2026

About this event

"Earth Celebration," a summer festival held since 1988 by the taiko performing arts ensemble "Kodo," will be held in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture in 2026 as well. At the live concerts held over three consecutive nights, you can enjoy performances with distinct individualities. Furthermore, packed with diverse programs, it is a precious opportunity to experience music and performing arts. A special experience awaits where Sado's culture and Kodo's art merge, including introductions to Kodo's apprentice centre, workshops, and exchanges with locally rooted performing arts. At the venue, various events where you can feel the nature and culture of Sado—not to mention the resonance of taiko drums—are scheduled, captivating visitors.
