Sado Ogi Kodo Autumn Performance 2026

About this event

A special moment presented by the taiko performing arts group Kodo in the fruitful autumn of Sado. It will be held at Marine Plaza Ogi, a 5-minute walk from Ogi Port, located at the southernmost tip of Sado, which developed as a gold-shipping port during the Edo period. Under the refreshing autumn sky, you can fully enjoy the resonant sounds of taiko drums up close. Kodo is celebrating its 44th year since its founding based in Sado, making this an intimate and special performance that can only be delivered in their home base. For this performance, admission is 3,000 yen for adults (junior high school students and above), 500 yen for children (elementary school students), and free for preschool children, with a 500 yen cash-back benefit for Sado citizens (junior high school students and above). Tickets go on sale from Wednesday, July 15, and can be purchased via Kodo Ticket Service (Tel. 0259-86-2330). The venue is Marine Plaza Ogi at 1935-26 Ogimachi, Sado City, Niigata Prefecture, with convenient access about 1 minute by car from Ogi Port. The performance lasts about 45 minutes, and doors open 30 minutes before each show.
