A Small Festival in the Mountains

About this event

This is a handmade event organized collaboratively by 15 mountain settlements along National Route 290. Numerous food stalls utilizing the blessings of the local area, such as beautiful terraced rice fields and satoyama landscapes, will be set up. Visitors can interact with local residents and enjoy an experience that satisfies both heart and stomach amidst rich nature. Held at Tainai Ski Resort, the event features mochi pounding, kagura dance performances, dishes made with local ingredients, and more. Local vitalization squad members (Chiiki Okoshi Kyoryokutai) are also involved, and sales of processed goods by local specialty research groups will take place, serving as a venue to share the region's charms.
