About this event
Held in September 2026 in Himi City, Toyama Prefecture, 'HIMI CRAFT FES.' is a craft event connecting hopes for recovery from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake. Led by Akira Minagawa, designer of Japan's representative fashion and textile brand 'minä perhonen', and 'FCTRY', a silkscreen printing workshop shop in Himi City, approximately 100 groups of creators carefully selected by three leading figures in the contemporary craft and design world (Akira Minagawa, woodworker Ryuji Mitani, and Kenmei Nagaoka of D&DEPARTMENT) will gather. The event logo was also designed by Mr. Minagawa. Craft and food areas will be set up in the Himi Shopping Arcade, and talk shows and live performances will be held at the Himi City Fishery Cultural Exchange Center. Silkscreen workshops are also planned to be available at the venue, aiming to provide visitors with special experiences and an opportunity to want to live in this town. This festival will mark the beginning of a new story for Himi.
