Head to Kitamata Valley in early autumn, where refreshing breezes make you forget the lingering summer heat! Stroll around Kitamata Hut, the base for climbing Mount Asahi, together with a mountain guide. From Koshido Pass (881.7m), the watershed between Ogawa and Kurobe River, to Kitamata Hut (700m), enjoy forest bathing while walking along a gentle downhill forest road. Along the way, enjoy a course packed with highlights such as lovely wild alpine plants, encounters with a 400-year-old giant tree, the thrilling experience of crossing a 12m-high suspension bridge, and talks about "Kitamata Dam," an attraction for dam enthusiasts. Families with children and mountaineering beginners can easily enjoy this tour. After descending the mountain, a meal at Rakuchino is included, where you can also refresh and wash off your sweat in a bath.
