The "Nomi City Disaster Prevention Festa 2026" will be held at the Nomi City Disaster Prevention Center. It is an event where children and adults alike can have fun learning disaster response skills. The event will take place from 10:00 to 15:00, proceeding in light rain but canceled in heavy rain. Because there is no parking at the venue, using temporary parking lots or the free shuttle bus from the Terai District Community Center is recommended. Event details can be checked on the flyer, but note that some programs have limited hours or require advance registration. In particular, the "Parent-Child Disaster Prevention Class," aimed at pregnant women or infants/toddlers and their families, will be held on Sunday, September 27 from 10:30 to 12:00 in the 3rd-floor conference room of the Disaster Prevention Center, and participants will receive disaster prevention goods as a gift. This class has a capacity of 8 groups, and the application deadline is Friday, September 18 at 17:00. Food trucks will also be on-site on the day, scheduled to include Asahiken, Ika no Omise, Kankoku Yatai, Kensan no Kasutera Bo~ru, Saiyukan, Sumibi Yakiniku Ren, Yorozuya Oteru, Bamboo Shoot, and others. The first-aid experience on the 3rd floor will only be open in the morning. A 100-yen coin is required to use the capsule toy machines.
