Special Observation Gathering: Admiring the Harvest Moon (Fukui Prefectural Nature Conservation Center)

A special observation gathering will be held to enjoy the harvest moon shining in the clear autumn night sky through various methods. Using a large astronomical telescope with an 80 cm aperture, you can clearly observe detailed terrain such as lunar craters and mountain ranges. In addition, binoculars allow you to view the overall appearance of the moon, while the naked eye lets you take in the charm of the harvest moon floating in the night sky. In the outdoor observation area, you can lie down and view the moon through binoculars, accompanied by commentary on the seasonal constellations transitioning from summer to autumn. In case of cloudy or rainy weather, you can enjoy talks about the moon and a planetarium show. Anyone can join freely; junior high school students and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. No registration is required and there is no participant limit. Let's spend an autumn moment together while gazing at the moon.
