Sabae Festival 2026

About this event

Held at the Lawn Plaza of Nishiyama Park in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, Sabae Festival 2026 is a festival created by diverse people engaging together. About 60 stalls will line the venue, featuring food, drinks, and merchandise, alongside various projects such as 'Everyone's Secret Base' where children become shopkeepers, and an environmental circular area that transforms waste plastic into accessories. This year, Super Ogyaa, featuring Za SAVAGE who also performed at Fuji Rock Festival, will perform, and the annual grand Bon Odori dance will also take place. In its third year under the concept of 'Roots,' creators and over 100 citizens collaborate on two projects: the 'Shadow Play' project where spirits gather, and the 'Yose' project creating a giant kamishibai picture story show. In addition, Bon Odori dancing by the newly formed 'Ikkoko Bon Club' will be held, creating a unique scene for this year. Packed with highlights, the event features shadow play performances, the Imagine Bon Odori Club Grand Bon Odori Festival, and live performances by singer Yue and FUB.
