Held at Minobusan Kuon-ji Temple, the head temple of Nichiren Buddhism located in Minobu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, the 'Rikkyo Kaishu-e' is an important memorial service marking the declaration by Grand Master Nichiren to propagate the teachings of the Lotus Sutra. This service commemorates the day Grand Master Nichiren made his declaration and missionary vow on April 28 in the 5th year of Kencho (1253). The service is held in the Soshido hall starting at 1:00 PM. Minobusan Kuon-ji Temple is visited by many believers and worshippers as a sacred site of Nichiren Buddhism, and this service provides a valuable opportunity to connect with the core teachings of the sect. Through this service deeply rooted in history and faith, visitors can once again appreciate the significance of Grand Master Nichiren's teachings.
