120th Nagano Ebisuko Fireworks Festival
Japanese name:第120回 長野えびす講煙火大会
📅 Mon, Nov 23, 2026
About this event
Held in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture on Monday (national holiday), November 23, 2026, the "120th Nagano Ebisuko Fireworks Festival" is a rare November fireworks display in Japan. Originating in 1899 (Meiji 32) and holding over 120 years of history, this traditional Nagano event launches approximately 10,000 fireworks into the clear late-autumn night sky. In addition to shakudama (large shells) and gorgeous music starmine displays, this year marks the commemorative 120th edition with a new special presentation: the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Oronamin C Drink Special Drone Show "Genki Hatsuratsu! Grand Sky Chorus 2026." In this participatory event, about 1,300 drones will depict a giant "Oronamin C Drink," song lyrics, and musical staves in the night sky as attendees sing along in chorus. The drone show begins around 17:30 and fireworks begin at 18:00, illuminating the night sky with two distinct forms of light—from the "light of the future" to the "light of 120 years of tradition." It is an event where visitors can spend a special day experiencing Nagano's history and culture.
