About this event
A trekking tour heading to the Natural Monument "Hot Spring Sinter Cone" (Funto-kyu) located in the Yumata area in the innermost depths of Takase Gorge. On this tour, participants will step deep into Takase Gorge, known as a hidden secluded region, and experience up close the mystical sinter cone created by nature. While single-day participation is possible, staying overnight at Yumata Sanso lodge is also recommended to more deeply enjoy the gorge's charms (accommodation requires separate reservation and fees). The tour starts from Takase Dam and takes approximately 6 and a half hours to reach the sinter cone. Along the way, an onsen egg (hot spring boiled egg) experience is included, allowing you to taste nature's blessings during the trek. Participation requires the physical stamina to walk approximately 21 km round trip, and is open to individuals from elementary school age up to 70 years old. A guide who knows the local area thoroughly will accompany the tour to support safe and fulfilling trekking.
