Azumino Style+ (STYLE Plus)

About this event

This is an excursion-style cultural event where makers and visitors meet, talk, and laugh together through the 'things and experiences' born from living in Azumino. Holding a map in hand while touring ateliers and workshops, visitors can connect with the creators' feelings that cannot be conveyed through the works alone, as well as experience daily life in Azumino. Starting in 2026, '+' has been added to the title, aiming for a richer event while returning to its origins. The workshops and ateliers open to the public are often closed to visitors normally, but during the event period, anyone can drop in freely. You can visit the creation sites of artists and craftspeople active in diverse fields such as wood carving, ceramics, glass bead making (tonbodama), and dyeing and weaving. Recently, some creators have also held group exhibitions, and regular shops are participating as well. Food-related shops are also taking part, with related events being held. For the 2026 edition, Azumino Chikyu-yado will feature craft exhibitions, sales, and workshops by 8 local artisans, as well as 'Chikyu-yado Shinmai Shokudo', a cafe using freshly harvested rice. In addition, on November 1, a 'Children's Festival' will feature traditional nursery rhymes (warabeuta), campfire bread, a special cafe, and workshops, offering programs the whole family can enjoy.
