Agricultural Trip! - See, Hear, and Feel Shinshu Ueda -

About this event

This is a 3-day, 2-night agricultural experience event touring four municipalities in Nagano Prefecture: Ueda City, Tomi City, Nagawa Town, and Aoki Village. Participants can listen to firsthand experiences from newly established farmers and enjoy harvesting experiences for vegetables and fruit trees (grapes and apples planned). In addition, explanations of agricultural support programs by each municipality and JA (Japan Agricultural Cooperatives) will be given, helping participants gain a clearer picture of farming and relocating to the Shinshu Ueda region. It will be an opportunity to see, hear, and feel the local agriculture and lifestyle in person. It is recommended for those who want to experience a "just right" rural lifestyle surrounded by rich nature with good access from the Tokyo metropolitan area, and for those considering farming in the future. The program is designed to teach the process from production to sales.
