In 2026, the annual 'Bon Odori Festival,' a staple event that brightens summer in Pippu Town, will be held once again. Over the two days of Tuesday, August 18, and Wednesday, August 19, with the parking lot of the Pippu Town Rural Environment Improvement Center as the main venue, the children's Bon Odori, general Bon Odori, and a costume parade & costume Bon Odori will take place. In particular, the costume parade held on Wednesday, August 19, is a popular event that creates great excitement every year, with teams dancing through the central area wearing unique costumes. The parade starts from Pippu Station, proceeds along Ekimae-dori street, and reaches its grand finale at the parking lot of the Rural Environment Improvement Center. Participants for the costume parade are currently being recruited, offering prizes such as 100,000 yen worth of gift certificates for the winning group and 20,000 yen worth of gift certificates for the winning individual. Participation is warmly welcomed regardless of age or gender, making it the perfect opportunity to invite coworkers, friends, or family to make summer memories. In case of rain, the event will be canceled or postponed.
